Calvin H. Woosnam, CEO, Chairman, CIO;
Cal has had an extensive career in technology and a number of significant accomplishments to his credit. He has been a Systems Analyst since 1968, 12+ Years with IBM, some of the first Digital recordings with 5 Gold Records. Telecommunications for remote sites with high bandwidth satellite for clients, and first to build ATM networks with his LightWay Networks Company which still stands a reminder on top of Canada Place in Vancouver. These ATM Networks are the Standard for fiber optic and wired networks Worldwide today. Sits on or works with multiple Regulatory and Standards organizations, such as CSA International, UL/ULC, BRE, LPCB, Intertek Asia, and has co-authored multiple international Standards including Life Safety to Solar Energy. He has more than 22 Patents in various stages of deployment, ranging from Life Safety, to National Security, to Remote Medical Monitoring, and even today with Alternate Energy breakthroughs. He has worked on many Top Secret level projects throughout his career and built and sold companies multiple times.
Thomas J. Byrne, President, Director;
Tom Byrne has a vast history of branding and marketing and he knows how to bring new light to stubborn problems to create solutions that also work as profitable enterprises. He has taken projects from startup to multibillion dollar values. In EarthStar he sees a way to create a green solutions company to meet the rising demand for sustainable and responsible energy creation. In the broad vision of EarthStar Tom sees a leading edge solutions company that uses its Intellectual capital and focused Imagineering to create as yet unknown solutions to society's pressing issues. This encompasses many sectors such as, energy, food, water and waste management, the medical services industry, security and life safety. Tom works closely with Cal, jit and Haroon and others to realize this vision and as president he is continuously improving the company's management team to assist in this effort. His long experience with an international network of scientists and finance executives will serve the company well as he works to achieve its multifaceted vision.
Manjit (Jit) Mundie, Director;
Jit Mundie is a trusted long time partner of Tom Byrne. Manjit has a broad range of networking abilities and his knowledge of international business operations brings many opportunities to EarthStar. He has met with the prime minister of Canada on several occasions and has extremely good relations with the provincial and federal government ministries. He is an expert in finance and international trade relations.
Haroon A. Khan, Director;
Haroon Khan has over 25 years of experience and demonstrated success in corporate communications, investor relations and fund raising with Publicly listed companies, private corporations and charitable associations. President of H&H Group Health Management, Khan Properties and Investment Advisor for Caipcom Canada, a subsidiary of Caipcom China. He serves as President of Pakistan Canada Association and long time trustee of Al Jamia Masjid Vancouver and member of Vancouver's interfaith Alliance to end Homelessness. Haroon is well known internationally and has brought to EarthStar many potential clients from countries all over the world. His political capital reaches to the highest levels in the Canadian government and abroad.
Haroon Khan has a 20 year long friendship with Cal and it was him that brought Tom and Jit into the management team of Earthstar. Through his long term associations with his fellow directors and partners he has extensive experience in forging strategic alliances worldwide. Haroon maintains interests in technology, innovations, politics, philanthropy, journalism, broadcasting, the arts, international relations and finance.
Sarj Sethi, Director Of Operations EarthStar Solar;
Sarj Sethi founded Wei Lai future solar power Ltd in 1998 and was implementing Solar/wind/micro hydro projects on a international basis. He also was involved in many silicon ingot/wafer deals sourcing for manufacturers around the globe.
In 2007 Sarj joined with Partners to create Renewable Future Energy Resources Inc. and start to concentrate on the Americas(Western Hemisphere). With many years of experience under his belt Sarj Sethi joined forces with Earthstar to help create a company with more diversity in the renewable, waste to fuel plasma reactor, energy savings(LED etc), water treatment and helping communities set up power when no power is available to larger scale systems.
